Self-care
Self-care is a repudiation of the American notion that something is wrong with you. Corporations spend billions of dollars a year brainwashing you into thinking that something is wrong with you, that you need to change something - that you don't have Buddha nature.
Self-care is practicing Buddhism.
Meditation is self-care. Studying the Dharma is self-care. Studying the Dharmakaya is self-care.
Even if there is no "self," it's important to take of it.
No-self-care is as important is self-care.
Self-care is self-compassion. In the Buddhist view, the point of life is to learn compassion. That includes self-compassion.
Each part of the 8 Fold Path is an example of self-care.
It's a little disheartening when even some great teachers don't get this concept.
